Community links
The Institute has ongoing and active links with other education providers, community groups and local employers. Here's how:
- As an associate college of Middlesex University it offers a number of courses, mainly in the area of foreign languages, which enable students to gain credits towards a degree course at the university.
- The Institute contributes to various local and regional forums which are involved in policy making and planning for community provision.
- We work closely with local organisations to provide programmes for people who need to learn English, improve their skills in literacy, numeracy and information technology, or who want to return to learning or to work.
- We liaise with care workers to provide opportunities for people with learning difficulties and disabilities.
The Institute is always interested to explore ideas for new links and partnerships, and welcomes approaches from individuals and groups who wish to discuss the possibilities.
